CASA BLANCA RETREAT CENTER
in the area of
LA BUFADORA, BAJA CA, Mexico
From I-5 or 805 heading south. Approx. 1 & 1/2 mile before the border take the 905 fwy.
going East (away from TIJUANA) The 905 east runs along the border. You will be crossing
over the OTAY MESA border crossing. Head straight south. Go through one stop sign, and
ahead to the next signal light, turn left. (A McDonalds is on your left about 200 feet) Drive east
for about 6 miles towards TECATE. The road will split, You will head toward ROSARITA. When
you come to the water/ocean turn left and parallel the toll road for 5 miles. (If you turn right
you are at Fox Studio & you're going the wrong direction).
Get on the toll road at the ramp, pay close attention, as the toll road does have some pot
holes and occasionally road work that can change the road from two lanes down to one with
very short notice.
The directions above and the toll road, bypass TIJUANA and ROSARITA area which could
save you trouble & time. You will pay one toll by ENSENADA of $2.15 to $2.75. You can pay
with US Dollars. Go 10-15 minutes through the city of ENSENADA. STOP and change money
in ENSENADA. There is an exchange store at the end of the strip mall near the Bancomer
Bank on the right, before the "Y" before the Pemex gas station, which does not charge for
exchanging dollars to pesos.
Drive south from ENSENADA on Highway 1 for approximately 10 minutes.
You will rear right towards the sign for San Quintin>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Keep going past Ensenada. (before you get to the city of MANEADERO you'll pass a
WALMART/HOME DEPOT shopping center on the right and a COSTCO on the left)
Ahead at MANEADERO you will see a sign for LA BUFADORA at the "Y' in the road. Turn
right there. You maynotice the New Calimax Grocery Store on the right.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
After you go towards the Bufadora you will pass 9 speed bumps (called TOPES on the
street signs), these bumps are not marked well and will really jar your car, so be very careful
and watch for them! This drive of about 20 minutes will take you along the ocean up the hill.
You will go past camp grounds, and a fire station on the left. The ocean/ bay is on your right.
You are driving on a peninsula towards LA BUFADORA tourist area.
When you see a high mountain on the right and the ocean on the left and right. You are
near the entrance. You will come to a sign saying CASA BLANCA. Go a little further past
the sign and turn into that road.
(The turn to CASA BLANCA is 3.2 miles ahead after the last speed bump.)
Turn right towards the yellow guard station. CASA BLANCA RETREAT CENTER

There is usually a guard who does not speak English, but will understand if you say
"CASA BLANCA." Just say OK, and drive (about 1/4 mile) straight ahead.
After you turn right at the guard shack and tell them you are there for Casa Blanca. You will
drive straight down that road for just a few minutes. Go towards the left at the fork in the
road, to the all white complex with 2 red gates. There is plenty of parking in front and walk into
